Councillor Allan Pollard joined cycling fans and proud Belizeans in celebrating the 95th Annual Cross Country Cycling Classic, one of Belize’s most iconic and eagerly anticipated sporting events.

Held every Holy Saturday during the Easter weekend, this historic race is more than just a competition, it’s a cherished national tradition that highlights the strength, endurance, and unity of the Belizean spirit. For nearly a century, the Cross Country Cycling Classic has brought together communities from across the country, lining the highways in support of local and international athletes pushing their limits in this grueling yet inspiring challenge. 

In his remarks before the riders took off, Councilor Pollard extended heartfelt well wishes to all participants, encouraging them to ride safely and with pride. He emphasized the importance of the event not only as a display of athleticism, but also as a celebration of Belizean heritage, resilience, and national pride.
