At City Hall, we're serious about wellness — because a healthier team means a stronger city!
This week, thanks to our friends at the Central Health Region under the Ministry of Health & Wellness, our staff got a powerful reminder on how small choices can make a big difference.
From preventing strokes and heart attacks to understanding the importance of eating smarter and getting regular check-ups, Ms. Glendy Chiquin delivered insights that hit home. Staff also learned how to better read and manage blood sugar and blood pressure levels — knowledge that saves lives.
And it’s not just about personal health — the Environmental Health Unit reminded us how keeping our spaces clean protects everyone from mosquito-borne illnesses like dengue and malaria.
Huge thanks to the Ministry for sharing real-world tips we can all act on today. Together, we’re taking steps — big and small — toward a healthier, more resilient Belize City workforce!
