In an effort to keep our youths active, engaged and harness their athletic skills, the Belize City Council in partnership with the Belize Baseball League launched the Little League Training Camp. It is a two-week camp that accommodates ages 8-13 from Monday to Friday 8:30AM – 11:30AM at the Roger’s Stadium. Over 100 children received certificates of participation and a great foundation in the sport of softball. Special thanks to Sports Coordinator Micheal Novelo and Councilor Micah Goodin whose portfolio includes Youth and Sports.

The Belize City Council wishes to spotlight The Belize Basketball Federation’s Belize Boys U15 National Team as they put up quite a fight beating out Guatemala 68-62 but were met with defeat against Costa Rica 62-50. In the end they came out strong with a victorious win against host team El Salvador 82-72. They secured 3rd place at the U15 COCABA Championship and we could not have been more proud of our boys.
