Your Council at work for You

Youth, Sports, After School, Job Placement, Small Business Program

The Youth, Sports and After School Program falls under the portfolio of Councillor Bernard Pitts Jr. These programs provide an outlet for children, teenagers and young adults in formulating events geared at reducing crime, fostering a sense of responsibility, mentoring and facilitating some outlets for learning not only academic skills but as well life and personality skills.

The street games will be reintroduced back as a regular event to try and allow inner City youths an arena to display their basketball and football talents whilst familiarizing themselves with other areas of the City in the hope of using sport as an avenue to reducing gang activities.
